This is an extraordinary Chinese Dressing Box from the Late Ching Dynasty. It's top opens up into a mirror that folds into place.  The doors open up to reveal two drawers.  You will notice that the handles on the drawers are different like the top of the box with all different hinges, showing the range of the artist's talent.  In the close up pictures you will see the lovely dovetailed work on the drawers and the magnificent longer skinnier drawer, most likely used as a glove drawer.

These boxes have been known to go between $750.00 - $1200.00 in auctions.  In truth, I hate to part with it.  I find it breath taking and exquisite.
